A moon and stars embroidered wedding dress with a 1920s feel…..
This gown was created for a beautiful raven haired bride who wanted something both romantic and glamorous. She liked the 1920s, was taken with a night sky theme, and wanted long sleeves, but also liked the exposed ‘cold shoulder’ look.
The iconic 1920s dress shapes are beautiful, but their straight up-and-down silhouette with minimal shaping would rather hide this bride’s perfect hour glass figure under a bushel, so we decided on a more curvacious look for the bodice, with a flowing translucent layered skirt extending into a train. We incorporated the 1920s look by using the intricate beading that was so popular in the gowns of that era……a soft transparent tulle embroidered with crescent moons, stars and constellations was further embellished with curving lines of opalescent ivory beads to accentuate the bodice shape.
Long sleeves in the same sheer starry embroidered tulle could be buttoned on or off…..
The beaded bodice of the gown was further enhanced with thousands of tiny Swarovski crystals, which twinkled and sparkled as the gown moved…..
