A blush tinted colourful flower embellished tulle wedding dress for an Autumn bride….
Such a pretty gown, this was created for a lovely bride who first came to see me in October last year with a beautiful bouquet of flowers that she brought with her as colour inspiration for the type of saturated detail that she knew she wanted to include in her bespoke design. ( And I got to keep the gorgeous bouquet after the consultation, so yay! 😉 )
The structured silk bodice of the gown was overlaid with delicate gold French lace, and then embellished with hand-painted flowers in rich berry shades edged with gold. We were also able to include a pretty lace butterfly motif, which was a family keepsake made by the bride’s grandmother….it’s lovely to incorporate a sentimental ‘something old’ into a gown in this way.
We made a matching blush tulle veil to complete the look…..
I decided to name this design ‘Love-Lies-Bleeding’ after the lovely pinky-red tassels of the Amaranthus Caudatus flowers that were in that initial inspiration bouquet
